The Vault Opens

Most of my working life had nothing to do with blockchain. Oil and gas. Marine systems. Power generation. I spent years as a corporate warrior at Caterpillar, then went out on my own and built a power systems business I'm genuinely proud of. Practical work. Physical things. Real machines that either run or don't.

Five years ago I met Alexander Borodich, the founder of Universa — one of the sharpest people I've come across. That conversation changed the direction of my life. I decided to actually understand this world instead of reading about it from the outside.

This book is what came out of that decision. I wrote it to teach myself the real foundations of money, gold, blockchain, and real-world assets — not the hype version, the actual mechanics. Every chapter exists because I needed to understand something and couldn't find it explained honestly anywhere.

I wrote it for myself. But if you're standing where I was five years ago — curious about this shift, suspicious of the hype, and looking for someone to walk you through it without an agenda — I think it'll do for you what it did for me.
